Baby Rattle

~~~~~~~~~~~
Supplies Needed
*Pastel colored “eyes”
*lathed toothpicks
*tacky glue
*acrylic paints in your choice of colors
 Making the Project
{Hobby stores sell the smallest plastic 'eyes' {about 1/8” in diameter} with a pastel or primary colored bead in them. You may have to look or ask for them because they always seem to be out.}
*You will need 2 eyes (for each rattle), which you will glue together, flat backs together.
*Set them aside to dry.
*Take one fancy handled toothpick and paint the fancy end any color/colors you want. Let dry.
*Cut off the sharp end so the fancy end is about 3/8-1/2” long, just where you stopped painting. Make sure to make a flat cut so your 'eye' will stay glued.  Glue the eye to the end of the toothpick and you have a baby rattle that actually rattles.
{note: if you have the patience…you can take the white backing off the eyes very carefully…glue the domes together and leave the beads in the domes…glue back together and then you have a totally clear rattle.}
